Technical Account Manager

Overview:

Transmitis seeking a client-obsessed Technical Account Manager (Media & Streaming)to own post-sales success for a portfolio of premium customers. You will act asthe trusted technical advisor for broadcasters, streamers, OEMs, and appdevelopers, guiding complex integrations, resolving advanced SSAI and videoworkflow issues, and driving continuous optimization across HLS, MPEG-DASH, andemerging protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

● Serve as the primary post-sales technical contact for assignedaccounts, owning the full customer lifecycle from onboarding through renewal.

● Troubleshoot and resolve issues across adaptive-bitrate streaming,SSAI, ad decisioning, DRM, and CDN delivery; perform log, manifest, and KPIanalysis.

● Lead technical implementations, change-management projects, andincident war-rooms involving multiple partners.

● Translate customer goals into product feedback, roadmap input, anddata-backed optimization recommendations.

● Build strong relationships with engineering, product, and executivestakeholders, internally and at the customer.

● Stay current on VAST/VMAP, SCTE-35, HDR/UHD codecs, edge compute, andother media-engineering advances; share knowledge with colleagues andcustomers.

 

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field orequivalent media-technology experience.

● 5+ years of experience in streaming technology, ad tech, or mediatechnology

● Hands-on expertise with video workflows from signal acquisition toend-user playback; solid grasp of HLS, MPEG-DASH, adaptive-bitrate packaging,and CDN behavior.

● Working knowledge of server-side ad insertion (SSAI), SCTE-35 adsignaling, and programmatic ad ecosystems.

●  Familiarity with cloud-based streaming infrastructure (e.g., AWS MediaServices, Google Cloud Media CDN).

● Proven ability to analyze player logs, manifests, QoE and ad-fillmetrics; SQL or scripting (Python) a plus.

● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortableengaging both engineers and C-suite.

● Strong problem-solving, project-leadership, and relationship managementcapabilities in fast-moving environments.

Principal Engineer

This position offers the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive the evolution of our cutting-edge technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and robust software solutions for video streaming and ad tech applications.

• Architect and develop backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and other modern technologies to optimize performance and reliability.

• Apply deep expertise in digital video broadcasting, ad insertion technologies, and DRM systems to drive innovation and efficiency in our platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-impact projects on schedule.

• Utilize cloud services, particularly AWS, to deploy and manage infrastructure components, and implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years focused on video streaming or ad tech solutions.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern backend technologies.

• Deep understanding of digital video broadcasting, ad insertion technologies, and DRM systems.

• Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient in databases like MongoDB and caching solutions like Redis.

Principal Video Engineer

With a focus on video processing and encoding, you'll lead the charge in optimizing performance, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality content to users.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architectural decisions for advanced video processing and encoding solutions using FFmpeg and its libraries such as libavcodec, libavformat, libavutil, libavfilter, libswscale, and libswresample.

• Set strategic direction for the development and optimization of encoding configurations using libraries like x264, x265, libvpx, libaom, libopus, libvorbis, libmp3lame, and libfdk-aac.

• Champion the development of high-performance video streaming technologies for HLS and MPEG-DASH.

• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging video codecs like AV1 and explore new technologies in video processing to maintain and extend industry leadership.

• Define best practices and standards for video processing and ensure compliance with industry quality and security benchmarks.

Qualifications
